Meet Shashin

Shashin's relationship with finances comes from his own personal experience. His father immigrated to the U.S. in 1960 with only $8. Within 40 years, he was one of the country’s leading psychiatrists. In 1999, his father asked if Shashin thought he could retire. Shashin was shocked to find out he could have retired years earlier. He realized his father was never given appropriate and informed guidance about his financial journey.

Enter Shashin's own desire to help others. He believes this type of guidance is essential—not just for financial planning—but also in planning for lifelong goals. He appreciates that at SFMG, every advisor is encouraged to give the advice they think is right for their clients.

When Shashin is not providing guidance for his clients, he stays busy with his wife, Mary, their three boys, and their two Aussie Doodles–Lola and Rocket! If they're not traveling, you can find them out on the town discovering new favorite food spots or in the kitchen whipping new dishes up themselves!
